Cadet Color Guard Earns High Praise at USAF Airmen of Note Concert

Cadets from Deer Valley Composite Squadron presented the colors at two concerts by the U.S. Air Force Band Airmen of Note during the band's six-city tour of Arizona. The band normally travels with an Honor Guard from its home base in Washington, DC, but when their schedule changed, the band reached out to Arizona Wing to see if someone could assist. Arrangements were made on short notice for CAP cadets from Deer Valley to present at a concert in Scottsdale on Nov. 10 and in Phoenix on Nov. 13. Cadets from Yuma Composite Squadron were scheduled to present at the concert there on Nov. 14.

The color guard from Deer Valley included: Chief Master Sgt. Gianna Kordylas, 2nd Lt. Dominic Agostini, 2nd Lt. Liam Arnold, and Chief Master Sgt. Moses Lopez. Alternates: Tech Sgt. James Sliney and Capt. Brenden Miller. Coached by 1st Lts. Jacob Little and Henry Meyers.
