Arizona Wing News

Lt. Col. Linda Yaeger will take command of Arizona Wing, Civil Air Patrol in January 2024. Southwest Region Commander Col. Martha Morris announced the selection on October 9, 2023. Yaeger will replace Col. Rob Pinckard as he completes his four-year term as wing commander.

Yaeger currently serves as the wing vice commander. She served previously as Chief of Staff, Inspector General, Mission Support Group commander, and 388th Composite Squadron commander. She holds operational qualifications as mission scanner, mission safety officer, and incident commander. 

Yaeger first joined Civil Air Patrol as a cadet during high school in Columbus, Ohio. Upon graduation from The Ohio State University, she was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. Yaeger retired as a lieutenant colonel from the Air Force in 2001 after 24 years of service and rejoined Civil Air Patrol in 2013.
