Become a CAP Member

There's a place in CAP for everyone! For cadets, you must be at least 12 years old and not yet 19. For adult members, you don't have to be a pilot or have any military experience. CAP needs teachers, lawyers, IT professionals, chaplains, marketing experts, human resources professionals, and more. Whatever your background or experience, there's a place for you in CAP.

▲For more information about becoming a Civil Air Patrol member, visit the CAP national website (links in left column). There, you can read frequently asked questions and learn about the requirements for membership.
▲Adults are asked to visit the squadron and attend three meetings before completing a membership application.
▲Youth age 12-18 must complete an eight-week orientation course offered by the squadron that will prepare them to become a CAP cadet.
▲ Interested in becoming an adult member? Send an email to request more info.
▲ Interested in joining as a cadet member? Contact Us to let us know you would like to join the next orientation session.
